Our Open House Day with a touch of Oktoberfest

Picote Open House Day - Picote

Traditional dress, technology & team spirit: We look back on this year's Open House Day with great enthusiasm. This year, we invited our guests to come dressed in traditional costume, not only to decorate our blue and white premises with white sausage, Obatzter cheese and beer in the Oktoberfest style, but also to bring our customers and friends to Siegen in spirit for the ‘Wies'n’ festival. Dressed in dirndls and lederhosen, our expectations for a day full of technical insights, intensive discussions and a great atmosphere were fully met! After warming up with a cosy Weißwurst breakfast, we went straight into the technical world of our rehabilitation solutions with live demonstrations.

T-Liner, rabbitcoater 2.0 & Multi-Cutter: a strong start with a wow effect

The event kicked off with Marcus Frehde and Owen Shearman presenting Picote's T-Liner, followed immediately by the presentation of the brand new rabbitcoater 2.0. Here, Managing Director Jens Becker, together with Andree Schuster and Luca Müller from technical support, showed guests live how precisely and evenly pipes can be coated with this system – and how quickly the bright orange polyurethane resin reacts. Whether in a downpipe, on a horizontal plane or in a 90-degree bend – with RabbitResin, the in-house area can be renovated in the shortest possible time!

Picote's milling machine also attracted a lot of interest. Matthias Fäller used the new Multi-Cutter to impressively demonstrate how powerful and sensitive modern milling technology can be. Whether stubborn deposits or narrow pipes, the Multi-Cutter masters every challenging situation with ease. Guests crowded around the demonstrations to see for themselves how reliable and robust this technology is in everyday practice.

Then things got lively!

Frank Matt from envirobot sent his Viper into the pipes for high-pressure cleaning – controlled only by a jet of water. Anyone who wanted to could then try their hand at manoeuvring the Viper precisely into a branch pipe. A little later, all eyes were on the blue synthetic resin Flexypox and sales representative Ingo Zabel from resinnovation GmbH, who used the paste mixing system from Innoquip GmbH to demonstrate how important precise and 100% mixing processes are for the quality of a renovation with synthetic resins. The focus here was on the exact mixing technology and the consistent material quality it produces.

The final shot: house connection liner with PolyPox UV

At the end of the technical programme, Jens Becker, in collaboration with Marcus Frehde, presented a real highlight: he shot the house connection liner with PolyPox UV into the pipe using a Picote drum. The rapid curing under UV light, the clean processing and the high strength of the material were impressive! In particular, the efficiency and time savings compared to conventional methods met with great interest. A comprehensive package that impresses: visitors were amazed at how modern and economical house connection rehabilitation can be today.

A tasty treat to finish: the WantBeef food truck

After the technical programme items, we – together with our guests – had something to look forward to that was at least as well received as the technology: the WantBeef food truck.

With freshly prepared delicious burgers, the WantBeef team ensured a delightful end to our Open House Day. Whether classic, spicy or vegetarian – there was something for every taste, and the relaxed atmosphere in the afternoon provided plenty of opportunity for discussion and networking.

Our conclusion: a complete success!
